Why do students get rejected in the NIFT situation test?

NIFT Situation Test is conducted to evaluate the creativity and material handling skills of the aspirants. A kit of materials along with a question paper with questions of model making of various themes will be provided. Aspirants are supposed to select one question and make a model using the materials and write a caption along with a description about it. Since the medium of instruction in NIFT is English, the write-up will be in English. No marks will be given for write-up in any other languages.

The model will be evaluated based on space visualization, innovative and creative use of given material, composition of elements, colour scheme, construction skill etc. Rejection in NIFT Situation Test will be due any of the following reasons:

1. The model made is not relevant to the topic chosen.
2. The Description does not suit the model. 
3. Incomplete model due to lack of time management.
4. Candidate who disclose their identity by writing any personal details or place any identification mark on the model/design/write-up.
