The entrance test for getting admission to NID B.Des has 2 stages. The NID Studio Test is the second stage of the NID entrance exam, following the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which is the first/prelims phase.

Studio Test in a nutshell:

The studio test is a hands-on test is designed to assess your practical design skills, model making, understanding of scale, working models, spatial awareness, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and overall understanding of design concepts. The test usually consists of 3-4 tasks that vary in nature. It can include tasks on understanding scale, proportion, spatial awareness, creativity, problem-solving, blind test for material identification, observation skills, audio-visual rounds, 3D-Model making, clay modelling, doodling, wire molding, inter personal skills etc.
